Dealing with Text Genres: Interview

1-(Interviwer): Tell us a little about your life?( if you are married,have sons,age,others)

(Claudia): I am 37 years old, I`m married and I have two sons.

2-(Interviwer): When and how did you find out that you would like to become a teacher?

(Claudia)- I began to enjoy this occupation because I liked a lot one of my teachers. Then, I made up my mind to be a teacher too. In fact, I confess since I was a child that was a dream to me.

3-(Interviwer): Did you take up other courses? Which ones?

(Claudia)- Yes, I took up a post -graduation.

4-(Interviwer): When did you start teaching?

(Claudia)- After finishing college. That time I got a job in a small school in the city of Cabaceiras.

5-(Interviwer): When did you start teaching at Prata School?

(Claudia)- In 2005. I left a school called Autentico and I got this job.

6- (Interviwer): Can you remember how the first class you taught was?

(Claudia)- Yes, I can. I was kind of nervous in the begining, but then the group of students was very good. So, I could deal with the content and it was a nice class.

7-(Interviwer): What are the major difficulties faced by teachers?

(Claudia)- Certainly, the absence of interesting by some students along the class. That really annoys and discourages us to carry on.

8-(Interviwer): Is there any problem to conciliate your particular life with your professional life?

(Claudia)- No, not really. Well, I think I know how to cope with this, my personal life cannot be through my professional one.

9-(Interviwer): Tell us any situation that was very important to your professional life.

(Claudia)- My first class as a teacher. I was a little scared in the begining, but later I interacted with the students and it was kind of dynamic task.

10-(Interviwer): Would you like to follow another occupation any day?

(Claudia)- Not really. Being a teacher has always been a dream to me. Besides, I still enjoy teaching.

11-(Interviwer): What would you tell anyone who wish to become a teacher one day?

(Claudia)- First, I’d tell that it`s a wonderful occupation. Then, I’d add that teachers should always keep calm even in the worst situations.
