The Big Match
May 21st-reserved great emotions for football lovers: the grand finale UEFA Champions League 2008. After having faced very difficult matches in the semifinals, Manchester United and Chelsea made the first final between British teams of all times.
The theatre was the beautiful Luzhniki Olympic Stadium, city of Moscow, which had already prepared the greates scenary for such a football match. In the field, the experienced manager Alex Ferguson led the Red Devils against the strong team of Chelsea. The attention was towrds that one who had been regarded as one of the best players in the world today, Cristiano Ronaldo. He had been seen as decisive in winning the Premier League this year, leaving, ironically, the Chelsea with the vice championship.
The game was broadcast live at 15:30 (Brasilia time), on open channel by Record TV, and pay per view ones ESPN International. That beat the best.
